Semar
There are several versions about the birth or narration of Semar. But all these figures refer to as the reincarnation of the god.
In the script narrated Serat Kanda, ruler of heaven named Sanghyang Nurrasa has two sons named Sanghyang Tunggal and Sanghyang Wenang. Because Sanghyang Tunggal ugly, it also inherited the throne of heaven to Sanghyang Wenang. From Sanghyang Wenang then bequeathed to his son named Batara Guru. Sanghyang Tunggal became caretakers of the descendants of Batara Guru, with the name of Semar.
Semar is told as a servant or servants of the story the main character, namely Sahadewa of the Pandavas. Of course, Semar role not only as a follower, but also as a launcher of humor to break the tense atmosphere.
In a further development, the degree of Semar increasing again. Javanese poets in their literary works tells the story of Semar is not just ordinary commoners, but the embodiment Batara Ismaya, elder brother of Guru, the king of the gods.
